How to Read Your BaZi Chart: A Beginner's Guide
A BaZi chart can look intimidating, but a beginner can get real insight by focusing on two things: the Day Master and the element balance.
Start with the Day Master
Find your day stem and its element — this is you. Whether it's a Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal or Water Day Master sets the tone for the whole reading.
Count the elements
Tally how many of the eight characters fall under each element. A missing or dominant element points to where your chart is strong or seeking balance.
Favorable and unfavorable elements
Advanced BaZi weighs which elements help or strain your Day Master, considering season and interactions — a deeper study beyond the basics.
